Interrogative sentence pattern
To build up interrogative sentence, it has three rules---
- If any sentence has Be verb(am,is.are)/ Have verb(has,have,had)/Modal verb(shall, should, will, would, can, could, may, might) then these verb sits before the subject on interrogative sentence. Example-
Bimol is your brother Is Bimal your brother?
He has got a bad tooth Has he got a bad tooth?
- If any sentence has not these(above↑) verb, then use Do verb before the subject. This Do verb change by tense and person, but the main verb do not change. Example--
He goes to school Does he go to school?
He does his homework Does he do his homework?
- If any sentence has WH (who, whose, whom, what, why, which, where), how much, how many etc question word, then these word sit before the sentence. Example-
- Who are you?
- Whose book is this?
- Which is your pen?
- When do you eat?
- What are you doing?
- Who insulted you?
- Who does not know it?
