Subject and predicate

  1. The part which names the person or thing we are speaking about is called the subject of the sentence.
  2. The part which tells something about the subject is called the predicate of the sentence.
                                                                                                                                                                                             -Wren & Martin
Subject has two parts-
  1. Subject
  2. Predicate
We talk about that things and write, are called subject And we talk about subject are called Predicate.
Generally in sentence: subject use in first and then sit predicate.Example:
                                Subject                  Predicate
A boy                   lived in a village

In example, 'boy' is a subject proper and 'A' is extentional. This is called Adjuncts to Subject.
